Hundreds of demonstrators anti-Wall Street was arrested Saturday night when they attempt to walk together across the Brooklyn Bridge. The demonstration, called “occupied the Wall Street” that forced the temporary closure of the Brooklyn Bridge when they protest against the greed of large companies, social inequality and other issues.
New York Police Department says it has arrested some protesters as they stepped out of the path of pedestrians on the bridge and then walk the path of vehicles and blocking traffic.
Brooklyn Bridge was closed for several hours but has now reopened.
The site of the demonstration “occupy Wall Street” describes the protest as “a movement without a leader,” and those who participated previously camped near the financial district of New York for two weeks.
In Boston, a similar demonstration as “take over the Boston” made ??to the office of Bank of America and more than twenty demonstrators were arrested.
