Thursday, May 27th, 2010Energy efficiency equals tax credits, but only for homeowners. If you live in a rental property, then you’re not eligible for the credit. But if you own a home, in Boca Raton Woodfiled Country Club for example, there are a variety of renovations you can make that would qualify you for up to $1,500 in tax credits. You can get thirty percent of the amount you spend on these renovations over two years. This means that you need to spend $5,000 to maximize the credit. And the credit caps at $1,500, so if you spend the $5,000 in the first year of your renovations, then you’re not eligible for any credits the following year. (more…)
